Diagnostic procedures are fundamental
for appropriate diagnosis and treatment planning.
For us the evaluation of patient’s medical and oral health begins from the waiting room during the first visit. Our front desk personnel will be pleased to provide you all essential health questionnaires, patient information and consent forms to be completed prior to the clinical examination. New patients are encouraged to download, print, prepare and deliver a health questionnaire and a signed patient update form; together with a recent panoramic radiography [orthopantomograph – OPG] before or at the first visit.
Within the first appointment full medical, dental, periodontal, prosthodontic and functional records, intra-oral radiographs, initial impressions and appropriate photograph images are taken to facilitate initial treatment planning. Advanced technological devices such as digital radiography system, intraoral video camera, digital camera for macro photography, high-performance magnification loupes with lighting LED resources, additional lighting probes are used in conjunction with different software suites to optimize diagnostic evaluation. It is important to note that in advanced perio-prosthetic or implant cases diagnostic sessions might be prolonged and additional radiographic examination (i.e.. computerized tomography – CT) or laboratory assistance (i.e.. diagnostic set-up) might be required.
Finally, diagnostic procedures might include further assessment by different external specialized physicians or dentists.
